PC Techniques C/C++ Power Tools

I was buying a book on calculus, when this book caught my eye. I kinda bought it on impulse, but now that I took a better look at it, I noticed that it was published in 1992 and most of it deals with low level interaction with DOS. Does anyone know if any of it is still useful, or did I just throw away thirty-something USD?
If you have no intensions of messing around with DOS, I guess you did throw away that money. In 1993, however, it was a very useful book.

EDIT: Today, on Amazon, I can buy one for $0.01.

Did it come with a money back guarantee of some description? If so, you'd better be quick.
If its a 'first edition' it should begin rising in value you again... any decade now...
Does it work like that for technical books?
It works like that for all informational books, chris. ;)

In the end, I exchanged it for Tanenbaum's Structured Computer Organization, 4th edition (they didn't have the fifth). Sure, it's not entirely up to date, but most of it still applies today
