College? software development or computer security?

I'm all most done my first year at college. I have a good idea on what I want to do but now at a cross roads between software development or computer security. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that they are both under computer science. I was just wondering if anyone had a opinion on this topic and can help me decide...And it doesn't matter witch one because I would be happy going into any of those fields..

thanks
Certainly, both are under compsci... I can't really say if I am aware of the differences between them. You'll have to investigate what the courses/career paths entail.
Software development is part of software engineering. While CS deals with the theoretical aspects of software, SE deals with the practical applications of CS and different methodologies that attempt to improve software quality. If you'd like to draw a parallel, physics is to engineering as CS is to SE.
However, a good engineer must be a decent physicist and a good physicist - a decent engineer (unless it's theoretical physics, which can be considered a branch of mathematics - or the other way round, if you are so inclined).
Computer Security! Then we can help eachother out as that's the degree I'll hopefully be taking come September :p
you could look at it this way... Is there more work in (programming and database design) or computer security ???
then make your choice, btw the answer is the former.
