I only know ill people who posses through their brain illness a photographic memory.
If you can honestly tell me "statisticly there are xx.xx% of people with photographic memory" than i will admit my defeat.
In fact see this article: There a bunch of people listed. (who claim to be)
People claimed to possess an eidetic memory
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A number of people claim to have eidetic memory, but no one has been tested and documented as having a memory that is truly photographic.[1] Most people showing amazing memory abilities use mnemonic strategies, mostly the method of loci. This includes all winners of the annual World Memory Championships and most of the known scientific cases of excellent memories, like S. V. Shereshevskii. Regardless, there are a number of individuals with extraordinary memory who have been labeled eidetikers. The following list contains people who have claimed Eideitc memory.[2]
Who knows, maybe I'm subconsciously using mnemonic devices, all I know is I was tested when i was very young by a psychiatrist and for most my life I've at least believed in having a photographic memory. It seems to work best with numbers. I've never had to write down any dates, phone numbers or anything like that. I see it once and I memorize. Same goes for music. I convert the notes on the pages to the tabs, so to speak, and I memorize it on the spot.
EDIT: this is all irrelevant to the topic. Just so you know, I did decide on what to do for Kaeda, I went the full air dusting route. The things good as new :D
I half feel envious, and half piteous. It must be extremely useful to be able to remember things on sight; but also annoying because you must also remember bad stuff.
