My monitor is acting odd and I was wondering if anyone more hardware savvy than I could help me.
The monitor is displaying like the large ... cloud things, but they look like blobs of white that has a transparency of around 50%-75%. Also it looks like the blobs are behind the screen.
A few days earlier I was cleaning my screen. I think that one of two things happened:
1: The cleaner I was using had vinegar in it
2: Water seeped through the screen or somehow got through
It isn't too bad just a minor annoyance. But if you hae any advice or know what is happening I would be glad to know. I am also using a laptop.
I am checking if I can see it when off right now ...
Update: I checked and it seems to disappear, but I'm not sure if that's because the pixels aren't illuminated or what :( but I think the blobs leave. Does that mean it's a graphic card error?
Not necessarily. Here's how you check. If they appear in a screenshot, then the problem is not in the monitor. Obviously, you should use a different screen to look at the screenshot.
Signal is fine. Since the screenshot looks right it means that the monitor's not shot. It could be a monitor issue still though, if something's up with the mechanics of the screen. Do you have a photo?
