Where to get started with Python?

Hi guys,
I have been programming for a while (4-5 years I mean) and I have developed many Android applications and some SFML games. Nowadays I am bored of the Android market and game industry so I want give a try to AI stuff and new languages. I think Python may be a good tool for working on AI development. What do you think about this idea firstly, and if you agree with me which resources would you suggest?

You came wrong or I told wrong but I am already developing for Android. What I want to do is to work on Artificial intelligence with Python.
