No I mean Assembler. As in bit code punch out cards, binary cards fed to a machine by hand, not typed into a keyboard. But thats besides the point. Don't chastise me please.
I never said necessary though. As for innovations happening everyday, some are more revolutionary then others. This, i firmly believe, is one of those innovations. This combination, Do you not realize what that means for computers? With the near infinite amount of transistors we completely demolish the theory that computers will eventually stop in development, having reached a pinnacle. At least for the time. and the computing based in lasers? Literally light speed calculations. It's not something I'm about to take lightly. But alas, to each their own.
edit: I'll go look for the two confirmed source links, I read them a while back, so It may be a few minutes.
edit2: Not the specific article I read, but this one is on the exact same topic
One Molecule Transistor:

Light Based Computer:

edit3: I can't find the one about the 360 Degree transistor, but eh, that was only a rumor, so it's not confirmed anyways.
Final Edit: It occurs to me that Assembler was the slang that was used for machine code where my dad went to college...Hence why I picked it up heh, sorry, I meant machine code.
