This is TheNewBoston, he is great when it comes down to learning to code. (The link above is for C++) but he teaches many different languages. I found this to be the easiest to grasp when starting out.

Think one of the hardest thing to do once you get beyond basic syntax is any programming language (variables, loops, logic/control, functions, etc) is having good simple projects to work on ... think I'll start a thread to get a list going :)
