That's only true if you try to bait about a given topic in a relevant community. For example, if you went to fanfiction.net and said that anyone who writes fanfiction is a loser.
Now, if you went basically anywhere and, say, told an anecdote that included the word "nigger" in the last sentence... Well, you have a much higher chance of success.

I contemplated writing a facetious response expressing abject disgust at your gall in using such an inappropriate racial epithet, but instead I just chose to throw a couple fancy words around.

I would have hoped people reading a programming forum would be smart enough to tell language and metalanguage apart.
