Hi guys,
I'd like to start learning web development, and hopefully start my own website in the future.
Do you have any recommendations on what books I should read?

You can learn HTML, Javascript and for example PHP - it is enough to create the web site.

HTML , JS, CSS are MUSTS. PHP is great.

Possibly a bit of a left field suggestion but...

Should I read books?
Or is the internet enough?

If you want to be a Real Programmer(tm), don't stop at "enough".

I my opinion there is lots and lots of bad books and websites out there about web development. So be discerning about what you read and what advice you follow.
