Dreaming in Code

I don't find any of this weird at all. To me it makes sense you solve problems in your sleep, isn't that when you learn?

The way I see it, when you are awake you are receiving all your input during the day, storing it in memory. At night you process that information, clearing the buffer so to speak, ready for it's next input.

If you want to go a little further. Think of a schema being a dynamically compiled program, made generic via a wide amount of similar pattern inputs (Doesn't matter what kettle it is, you know it will alert you when it's ready). Each schema is a program being executed on event.

Also allow yourself to sleep. Don't wake yourself up in a hurry. Give your brain time to process and reset. Come back fresh in the morning.

I haven't dreamt about code in a while. I've been having a very eerie reoccuring dream though. It's scary knowing each time I'm ending up closer, and it's one of those dreams where "you know" something is messed up.

Making my skin crawl thinking about it.
