IP address range
There are a number of ways to find valid IP addresses in a given range. If you don't mind sharing, I'm curious to know what solution you settled on? Did you know that a lot of firewalls, most notoriously the default Windows firewall, are not compliant with ping? Does your method take that into account? Would you like to discuss approaches for working around that?
You shouldn't get discouraged over a few negative responses in a single thread. Unless your responses to people trying to help you are consistently toxic, no one is going to care about a post like that.

Could you not delete your posts once you've figured out a solution? What if someone happened to be wondering the same thing?
