CodeBlocks main.cpp does not appear

When i create a new project on code blocks a gray screen appears where the hello world should be. To the left under management the main.cpp does not appear. When i press f9 it will run even though it can't type any code. When i open old projects the code will appear and run but the main.cpp does not appear. If anyone can help it would be really appreciated!

Create a console application project. Then under Management, Projects, you will see Workspace->ProjectName->Sources->main.cpp
