So I see new features on the forum but what is the point of having quotes 'shown collapsed'?

It would look like I still have the "Enhanced Cpp.com" extension in chrome...gone now.

It's the Enhanced Cpp.com extension (the one that added quote and code-ize buttons). Go to the settings to change which features are enabled (find the extension in chrome://extensions and click "Options")

Mainly it doesn't or didn't do things how I wanted.

I'm not sure how else a quote button could be implemented. Also, you can disable the features you don't like.

Well, What I would want from a quote button is to be able to select part of a post, hit the button and have that part of the post quoted.
