You don't have to pay $20 a month, you pay $20, that version of UE4 is yours, the source, the engine etc. You then cancel the subscription, and you can still keep a copy of everything. You just don't get updates, which is fair, you can simply wait til there is a relevant fix or update that you really need. Like i said, making up excuses.

@spectral
Is it really necessary to get so aggressive when someone disagrees with you? After all you are arguing an over an opinion.

Aggressive? It wasn't really arguing, nor is it really an opinion. He agreed with me that unreal is one of the top engines. He was simply arguing senselessly as he has some sort of irrational emotional attachment to an inanimate virtual object (Unity) such that he can't accept that it is obsolete. He ignored the rational and simply retorted to trolling.

lmfao is this turning into a flaming thread?

We could also swap out Unity for UE4. It is opinions on which you prefer. They both have their ups and downs simple as that. There are probably hundreds of threads out there about Unity vs Unreal anyways.
