Cucumber attempts to be a bridge between test-driven-development and the boss who isn't a developer. Best case scenario is that the boss learns how to write cucumber scripts and can deliver them to the developer as the rules of the feature. Cucumber then tells the developer how to set up the test suite ( I believe ), so then he/she can write actual tests.

A developer on his/her own who first writes tests in cucumber is being redundant in his/her process.

and yet you post this on the chicken thread, which arguably has potential for intelligent discussion, on brain fuck derivatives, language design, obscure work arounds.

See your argument falls short because all of those present a chance to have intelligent conversation from the OP. Yours couldn't until the above quoted comment because you at no point made it apparent that you wanted to discuss anything intelligent. Instead the OP made it look like you were just making a joke post which just got solidified when others started making chicken joke posts. See, people are a lot like computers, you can't post something and assume a person will get what you wanted to discuss or know that you had hoped those topics would come up from the OP you made. Now that you pointed it out, users can start to discuss that, but before it just looked like nothing more than spam.

The likely reason no one had replied was because all the questions that user posed can be answered with simple searches, as I pointed out in my reply to it. I've noticed a lot of users on here and other sites I'm part of are growing more annoyed by questions that can be answered if the OP took a few minutes to search for an answer themselves. I've also noticed some are getting tired of answering the same beginner questions again and again (which is also another reason a lot of questions probably go unanswered).

I do lots of Googling, but I kind of like interacting on forums more because I feel like you can get a more personalized response in order to help get a better understanding. That's just me though.

Did you read anything I posted BHX? I said I was merely showing a cool language. you and catfish were the ones complaining about a lack of intelligent discussion, so i listed topics related to this that would spark the discussion.

Complaining, pointing out, observing... you can say whining or bitchin' if you want, it doesn't change the fact that there was no intelligent discussion (and there still isn't, funnily enough).

And you yourself mentioned you don't care about that ("i couldnt care less if it was intelligent discussion or not.") ... so why are you not making more chicken posts to prove it?

Yeah, I read everything including the links. My opinion still hasn't changed, this is a garbage thread, spam, and arguing it back and forth definitely doesn't make it an intellectual discussion or intelligent. I'll happily remove myself from this thread and let you get back to your chicken.
