Old PC BIOS Download legal?
Is it (almost) legal to download a BIOS of old PCs (like the 5150,5160,5170), that aren't available anymore? Like to use in emulation of those old systems? Or are we forced to take free alternatives (like the Bochs BIOS)?
I believe the copyright is valid for ~30 years as far as I've heard? So that means only the 5150 is legal to download, if at all?

Copyright laws and protection durations are different depending on your country and sphere of partucilar protection. Longest protection is US/Media sphere for example.
You should stydy local laws on the issue. For example protection on particular implementation of something are often works while there is original copyright holder (until company exist for example)
