We're all sort of maintaining it in our own time. I haven't had much to give lately, as I've gotten myself involved in some other stuff recently. I'll come by irc in my free time today, as I'm bound to have some (home for christmas atm).
Unfortunately teams are only visible to people on the Owners team and they only assign permissions. GitHub organizations are still a WIP on GitHub's end.
The Owners team consists of me, Thumper, Naraku, ne555, and Disch.
Permissions aren't very fine-grained - the Owners team has full access to do everything (including upgrading the org to a paid account - please don't do that), and then for other teams either they can push-pull-admin specific repos, push-pull specific repos, or just pull specific repos (which everyone can do since all repos are public).
The only way I know to add a new repo if you're not on the Owners team is to create it on your account and transfer it to the org.
Hopefully in the future GitHub organizations will be easier to manage...
You seemed like a trustworthy senior member? To be honest I don't like how GHO teams work - the permissions need to be more fine-grained.
I'm also trying not to touch things when possible, since I'm blank-minded when it comes to being in charge. I've got bad leader skills, but I like keeping things organized.
