keeping the dart editor in my side bar

so i want to get back in web dev, but im kind of bored with php. but since dart came, it looks like a really cool language that i can use (i might give go another shot though). the only problem is i cant get dart editor to stay in my side bar (im using linux). if i lock it to the launcher and close it, ill open it up again and it will act like its going to open but then nothing happens. i have a link on my desktop but i usually have a window open so its really inefficient. anyone know how to fix this?
