im thinking about going into game development
where should i start and what language should i learn
i want to develop platform based games ps xbox pc
for example COD last of us little big planet l4d gta(i know i cant program all these games by myself)
c++ is a language that is used in making games should i start with this?
what different areas are there in game development?

can you give me a website link or a blog or the name of a book from where i can learn about game development?

btw im in the computer science programme of my uni so i do have a programming background
