idiotic statement

and the part that really got me was this

Make no mistake: Java/C/C++/C#/Perl are much worse than OCaml!

ok mabye it is better then Java or perl or c# (not from my point of view), but i cannot see how ocaml is remotely better than c/c++.

this may be a biased question because this is a c++ forum, but i wanted some feedback :)

You are making noise for nothing. The OP was just asking a question, or looking for comment on a line he read in an article (whose link is broken).

@OP Even though I have never used OCaml and think that functional languages can be over complex, you must remember that that is their opinion. Obviously someone will always tell you the language they prefer is better than another, and in my mind the following two are true:
1) If you cannot back your statement up, don't say it.
2) Every programming language has its pros/ cons and uses. (this should make clear what I mean http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2013/03/why-ruby.html ‎).
