Job Summary & Responsibilities:


Our Front Office Hedge Fund Trading Systems Technology Team is looking for a motivated, versatile developer to help create and operate the front-office trading systems that enable our hedge fund business. We run a global $8B hedge fund that trades in a variety of products. Our NY team has an opening for an individual to participate in all aspects of the hedge fund business including risk management, PNL, trade processing, information distribution & reporting. The ideal candidate will be able to utilize their technical skills, communication skills, and creativity to provide the solutions our business needs.

Principal Responsibilities

All phases of the software lifecycle from requirements gathering through design to development, testing, documentation & deployment.
Hands on development in a variety of software technologies.
Supporting our systems on a scheduled rotation basis.
Project ownership and management from start to finish.
Working closely with the business on various initiatives.
Combining technology proficiency with business knowledge.

Basic Qualifications

5-7+ years of professional experience.
5-7+ years of development experience with Java, C++, or C#.
Quick learning in a fast-paced environment.
Effective verbal and written communicator.
Focus on quality, responsiveness, efficiency, and innovation.
Willing to work on a proprietary risk management development language

Preferred Qualifications:

SQL and DB experience
Financial knowledge
UNIX experience
