Junior Software Engineer (C,C++ on Linux)

ARINC is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support their GLOBALink Engineering (GLE) department located in the Annapolis, Maryland headquarters. GLE is a SEI/CMM level 3 engineering organization within the Aviation Solutions division of ARINC. The Aviation Solutions division provides communication products and services for commercial and business airline customers. GLE develops systems and solutions for providing a high availability 24x7 data link services. Data link services provide clear, accurate, unambiguous data communications to enable the air crews to communicate and exchange information with ground crews and airline host systems. GLE systems are used in most of the continental US and many countries across the world.

The selected candidate will involve in the design, implementation and testing of the software solutions needed to provide high availability data link services. The software development will require the knowledge of network protocols and data communication. The engineer will use Rational Rose/UML for designing software solutions and require the knowledge of one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, Perl programming languages in Linux. The engineer will be working in a highly team environment complying with the processes outlined by the CMM level 3.

Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess three years or less of software development experience using C/C++.

The candidate must posses solid writing skills and strong verbal communication skills to work in a highly integrated team environment.

Desired Experience: Linux, C, C++, Java, Python, Perl, Network Protocols, Data Communications.

Education/Certification Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
