Designing and developing cross platform code for Mac OSX and Windows that helps users fix their library metadata.
But software doesn't just magically appear on those computers and devices on its own. It takes a passion for problem solving, deep understanding of customer environments and an ability to turn requirements into high-quality code. As a member of the Media Applications Development team, you will work on World-class desktop products like RealPlayer, RealDownloader, and more. These products enable users to better organize and enjoy their media not only on their desktops, but on their portable devices as well.
Key Accountabilities % of Time
1. Design and Develop Cross Platform C++ Applications 70%
2. Learn new APIs / languages / toolsets for use in performing essential job functions. 10%
3. Utilize source control and build system 10%
4. Debug and fix issues found in the wild and reported to us by Technical Support and reproduced by Quality Assurance 10%
Education
Bachelors in Computer Science, or related field.
Experience Minimum
- 3 years+ experience writing and debugging C++ code in a windows development environment
- 3 years+ experience in a software development role building consumer software applications
Preferred:
- Experience with source control using SubVersion
- Experience with Internationalization.
- Experience with javascript and JQuery.
