Role: The developer will work as a member of the Applications team, using C/C++ on a Unix platform.
Responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of state-of-the-art charting tools for visualizing multiple market instruments and analyzing information, with focus on ease of use and data accuracy. Daily activities include working closely with business representatives to understand business needs, translating these into effective designs and project plans, and coding solutions that suit our customers' needs.
Work requires financial industry knowledge with exposure to market data visualization systems as well as experience with technical architecture, object- oriented analysis & design, and software refactoring.
Requirements:
• 3 years of software development experience in C/C++
• 3 years of experience with Unix software development
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
Pluses:
• GTK
• Modular design, design patterns, pioneering testing techniques, and debugging
• Resource contention and deadlock, mutual exclusion and synchronization
