C++ / UNIX Software Engineer / Developer

Our client is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is globally renowned for its Software. Their applications are sold in the world’s major financial centres, to top-tier investment banks and they have offices in the UK, Paris, New York, San-Francisco, Boston, Toronto, Hong Kong, & Tokyo.

They are looking for bright, technically hungry/motivated individuals to join their core development teams who develop high performance, high availability real-time financial trading applications in C++ on the Solaris operating system and Redhat Enterprise Linux platforms. A minimum of Three years experience in C++ is required, on UNIX, along with strong analytical skills. Windows developers will be considered if they are willing to cross-train into Unix environments

• C++
• OO development methodologies
• STL
• Multi-threading
• Coding with C++ on UNIX

Experience in one or more of the following would be an advantage:

• software product life cycle
• software design
• relational databases
• scripting, Tcl

You will work in one of the teams responsible for the design and development of core components the product and its integration into the full product suite. The role would suit a delivery-focussed technical enthusiast who wants to gain business knowledge of the global financial industry.
