MDA Information Systems LLC has an immediate opening for an Intermediate Radar Engineer. The position provides an opportunity to work on projects that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. MDA employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission. The Intermediate level RadarEngineer will enhance their skill set by working among a talented and technically accomplished group of colleagues. MDA is an industry leader in earth observation remote sensing technology and image processing. We build satellite ground systems that enable users to acquire and process imagery from the most sophisticated Earth-observing satellites in the world: much of the satellite imagery that you see on Google Maps was generated by our software!
To be qualified you must be a US Citizen and be eligible to receive an active TS/SCI Clearance.
Job Requirements
*Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system engineering & analysis
*Planning & execution of studies toward system performance modeling and trade studies
*Development of enterprise solutions toward operationalization of GEOINT products
*GEOINT product chain engineering & optimization
*Development, update, and advocacy for robust product and enterprise standards
*Design and evaluation of SAR enterprise for new and innovative algorithms and capabilities
*SAR design, analysis, solutions, and optimization for enhanced product quality
*Providing technical results and inputs to government & associate contractor personnel
*BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related engineering/science discipline
*5-15 years related experience in enterprise system engineering, remote sensing engineering& analysis, system performance characterization/modeling, and/or structured data & metadata standards
*TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
Additional
Experience in any or all of the following areas would be highly relevant:
*SAR system design & modeling
*SAR processing algorithm development and implementation
*Structured data, metadata, and associated data standards
*Technical details and requirements used to develop specification and standards documents
*Programming experience in one or more of Matlab, Python, C/C++ for algorithm development & system modeling
*Radar signal processing
*Statistics & linear modeling
*Excellent writing and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor technical & programmatic presentations to audience
