With a growing client base that includes an impressive list from the FTSE 100, along with some of the largest and most complex businesses in the world, they obtain business intelligence that helps companies understand which reputational issues present the greatest risks or opportunities.
The Role
This venture has designed and built their own unique cutting edge sentiment and big-data analysis toolset to analyse reputation data in very high volume. They are now looking for a strong development expert to grow this platform and take it forward, bringing innovation and scale to the existing tools.
Therefore, they are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join their existing team. This is an advanced level role requiring experience and breadth of knowledge in the skills below.
Profile
The role is expected to grow into a development manager and architecture role over time so would suit a strong experienced developer seeking this next step. The role today includes a high level of advanced software development and software design activities.
As a minimum, you should have the following:
• Excellent Computer Science degree (Essential)
• Excellent SQL and advanced database knowledge, query tuning and optimisation skills
• Broad knowledge of networking, server and communications
• Experience of XML databases, NoSQL and other technologies
• Fluency with all network and performance tuning aspects
• Experience of Oracle development and Oracle OCI
• Java and other web development skills are also advantageous
Essentially we’re looking for a technologically strong individual, who wants to take responsibility, is collaborative of nature and who has an ability to bring a fresh perspective and coherent thinking that will positively challenge current views and future technical developments - someone who wants to make a significant contribution to the technology development roadmap that builds on our Client’s current success.
