Position: Technical Architect (C++ Design C++ Architecture, Low Latency)
Skills:
Technical Architect with proficiency in complex design and architecture, required for an e-commerce company, looking to expand their world class engineering team.
Candidates will need to be prepared to lead with a hands on approach, utilising the latest C++ technology including knowing where and when to deploy the appropriate libraries (including STL & Boost). Java development, design and architecture experience, alongside C++ is also highly desirable, along with a desire to keep up to date with the latest technologies and innovations (reading relevant technical publications, and knowing what cloud computing is, should be second nature)
Although this is a technical role, leading a team, driving the strategy and using the relevant methodologies / frameworks is also a key aspect. Therefore experience around this area is required, while exposure to Agile development or using the ACE framework is highly desirable.
The role will also require candidates to have experience of working on low latency, distributed systems, due to the complex nature of the systems involved.
Candidates should have shown good progression throughout their career. A good technical degree, followed by progression within respected companies will need to be demonstrated in the CV. Candidates will need to be passionate about working with the latest technologies in development and architecture, to ensure the client maintain their presence as leading innovators.
