Job Responsibilities
DTS Business Systems is a group of high-energy individuals who focus on meeting their objectives by providing innovative solutions that align people, process, and technology to drive business value. We are looking for an enthusiastic problem-solver who will participate in the creation and maintenance of an automated test suite for API and GUI utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio Test and other automation frameworks as well as assisting in the software development activities. Under the direction of the Senior Development Manager, the candidate will work in a cross functional environment, collaborating with other developers, systems and business analysts. The focus of this role will be to ensure overall quality of the development product and provide feedback to the developers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Write test plans and cases for features and functionalities
• Develop and execute test scripts for web and windows based application testing
• Work with business analysts, and developers to create quality assurance solutions and enhance testing efficiencies
• Build manual and automated Acceptance Test suites for multiple projects
• Assist in developing and maintaining automated test framework and execute GUI and API level automated tests
• Review code and test cases with developers
• Debug and troubleshoot code
• Work with business analysts to clarify program requirements and build test cases
• Conduct both functional and performance load test to support release of new and existing applications and projects
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field of study required
• 3+ years of total experience which may consist of the following:
• 3+ years of Quality Assurance/Testing experience
• 3+ years of .Net C# experience
• 1+ years of automation experience
• Familiarity MS-SQL with a strong understanding of SDLC and QA process
• Must have a good understanding of multi-tier software architecture
• Preferred Experience:
• Agile developer, MVC, testing with multiple web browsers, performance and load testing
Other Skills & Abilities:
• Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A strong attention to detail
• Strong teamwork and project-related skills, ensuring open communication channels across the team
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work with little supervision and ensuring work is completed within deadlines
• Ability to learn new technologies and/or systems quickly
