Exercise-based C++ books

I've checked through the newest C++ Primer a bit, but it doesn't feel like it fits me that much seeing as I would like it to have more focus on exercises (or something that progresses from a small program to a bigger and more advanced program, you catch my drift) instead of having pure references and then some small exercise at the end of each new thing.

Any recommendations for a book that suits me better?

Thanks.
check out programming abstractions in c++ by Eric S. Roberts and Julie Zeneski.

its alright i guess and its free online
it doesnt really work toward some big program but each chapter has programs that build on eachother
