Simple C++ file encrypter

Hi, I was wondering how I could make a simple file encrypter (not to really provide any safety, but just to make it so it was un-openable until decrypted). At the very least something that would just use a not logic gate to flip all of the bits. If someone could provide some sample code or the steps needed it would be great!
