Utilizing GPU for more processing power

Simple question, tough answer. I want to be able to use my gtx 560 ti's as coprocessors alongside my i7 to process large amounts of information. In my case, I wanted to do tasks such as a chess engine, possible card hands in different games, and even digits of pi. I have knowledge of assembly and c++, so where should I start?
