Turning a program on and off with winsock

I wanted to try and use this as a form of ' protection ' for a project I'm working on. I've seen it done before and I've attempted it as-well a few months back but I never got it working, at all. I was wondering if someone could assist me.

I was thinking that's exactly what the world needs is another socket lib wrapper, but lacewing looks interesting. It wraps a few protocols and uses efficient waiting, presumably platform independent (kqueue and IO Completion Ports). Pretty cool if it works.

We could start by fixing what you've written. Can you post what you've done.
