I taught myself ActionScript in flash 5 a hundred years ago. I wrote several simple games, worksheet generators, and explanation videos for my students. All centered around elementary school curriculum.
I no longer have access to Flash (I work quit to stay home w kids.
I would like to develop iPad apps based on some of the games that i wrote when i taught.
I want to know if I will be able to teach myself c++ to use something like dragonfireSDK to publish. I am interested in LOW COST.
The amount of information I got when searching was overwhelming and not very helpful. So I am looking for 1) opinions about the plausibility and 2)suggestions of where to start.
I am fairly intelligent (I have a master's degree in education, and I teach at the college level), but I have no formal computer training (I think I missed my calling).
As far as I was aware iphone and ipod applications where built in the Objective C language. I'm not 100 percent sure as I havn't delved to deeply into the issue.
the website also host a large amount of other language tutorials so if I'm wrong and ipad apps can be developed in C++ then you'll still have access to some decent free materials.
There is also a free web book called thinking in C++ which I've just recently started myself after reading some good reviews about it. Can't really complain considering it's a free resources =]
