Need > Help on our Machine Problem

Hi there, my first BTW...i came here hoping that my problems can be enlightened...my group and I made a machine problem that should be approved by our Professor. Our Machine problem is Word Factoring, the program reads multiple words from a text file then scrambles it and 2 players will look at a 6x6 matrix and try to form as many words as they can spot.

Our problem now is that whenever we input a word, the program seems to be idle...it goes to the next line and all we can see is a blinking cursor. The Program didnt freeze or anything. It just literally idle'd.

i really hope someone can shed us some light because our defense is tomorrow...
