Mysql connector c++ issue

Hi ppl .. im having an big dificulty trying to install mysql connector c++ on my visual studio 2010 .. im running on windows 7 64bits

I always get the same error unresolved external symbol get_driver_instance();

I've read that on the static lib this function was removed .. them i tried to use the dinamyc lib .. but still same problem .. and the program is not calling the .dll files dinamicaly .. dont know why

If any one can point me an direction ^^ i would be greatful
Even if someone point me another mysql connector.
