DLP-IO8-G

Can anyone help me with one of these: DLP-IO8-G 8-Channel Data Acquisition Board from http://www.dlpdesign.com/usb/io8.shtml? The www page and their documents say it has 8 Channels: Digital I/O, Analog In, Temperature. I've downloaded their test software but I can't get it to anything other than tell me that it's ready on port 4.

I'd like to try and use try and use the device as relay at the moment.
Example:
IN-1 to SW-1 and status of SW-1 = status of OUT-1
ie; off = off at output and on = on at output

Eventually I'd like to try and write a program for the device as a computer controlled relay with time delay functions and status indicators that allow me to select the IN and/or OUT to be either BINARY, ANALOG, or TEMP. put in a delay in seconds feature and a status indicator all on one nice screen.

Rough screen idea:

IN = INPUT
IS = INPUT STATUS ON/OFF
I-TYPE = TYPE OF INPUT; BINARY ANALOG TEMP
DELAY = IN SECONDS BEFORE OUTPUT ACTIVATES
OS = OUTPUT STATUS
O-TYPE = TYPE OF INPUT; BINARY ANALOG TEMP
