Polar to Cartesian

The 2D info that is generated from the laser line triangulation scanner is in the form of
radius values from datum 0.00 together with height value at that point for each profile.

Which is not strickly Polar or Cartesian but a combination of the two.

The radius values are then used to generate the X & Z values for each of the Y value points
giving the 3D Cartesian co-ordinates and for each of the profiles that depict the head scan.

Go to your local store and point the bar code line reader at your hand, this is the same as me
scanning the human head but I rotate the scanner while the subject is still.
