Deployment problem

Hi, I made a DirectX demo for my portfolio and now I'm trying to add it to my website so prospective employees can download it and see what I can do.

My problem is (and I'm aware you get a lot of these), when I try to run it on other computers I get various error messages. Some about missing directX DLLs so I included that in the release folder and it just brought another error up.

I built my program on VS08 (not the express edition) using directX SDK August2009. Ive got my friends to download the redist and this still doesn't make it run.

Please help.
