Console Checkers Game on C++ !!

Hi,
Im in my first year of college and we are introducing the c++ programming, the problem is that my teacher is very severe, and he doesnt explains very well the class, he told us to make a checkers console game, with IA and all that stuff and im having problems with the arrays and the IA, please help me with mi final proyect....

That sounds like an interesting project. It'd be even more interesting to make it a competition and see who can create the strongest AI.

Could you post an attempt at a code? It's very difficult to help without something to work from.
