long story. short version! I wanted to program in c++ so bought what i was told - Visual Studio 2010 Professional. So now what???? I can't find c++. I think everyting is installed. I just want a desktop icon that sends me to an IDE like the 2010 express edition free download.Is that possible? Thanks

So wait..you bought a 1000$ program...and you're on an Internet forum asking how to OPEN it.

*silence*
Just because it costs more, doesn't make it better, which seems to be the common conception.

Im guessing you pirated it, please dont respond to that.

I recommend Dev-C++
Comes with everything you need without all the crap. Simplifier and faster.

About the problem, C++ is Not On The Menu for me either, instead it is it's own program on the start menu, unsure why.
I recommend Dev-C++

Dev-C++ is ancient. It hasn't been updated in like 5 years.

MSVS is way, way better. Though I agree it has some bloat.
Medium Support Vehicle System?
well, you have support so make a call.

I use Visual Studio for work, and you do not open the C++ version like you do for the Express Editions. You open Visual Studio itself (from the start menu, derp) and then create a C++ project using the New Project wizards from within the IDE.
