Open program on different computer

Why am I not able to open a .exec on a different mac? I even tried sending the other computer the whole folder with the project.
Is the solution using an install wizard if so how do I do that.

I'm a PC user, but one thing you could look at are the required runtimes. Are you using any API that requires its own runtime to be installed? What error message are you getting?

i said mac because the program I made was an .exec not .exe
what are required runtimes?
also what are api's?
I am not getting an error message, it just opens terminal but nothing shows up
