Dumping font tables from VGA bios

Hi there,

I need to dump the font tables from my VGA card.
I don't think this will be possible from a windows context (the OS won't allow me to access addresses which are not pertinent to the application), so maybe I'll need to boot up a DOS environment (AFAIK DOS doesn't have such protections for memory access, but you say).

Does anyone know if the VGA's font tables are available in the CPU addressing space? If yes, what address do they start from?
