Stopping OpenDocumentFile getting called from OLE

Any ideas how I can stop OLE calling the OpenDocumentFile function when I paste one of my doc types into, say, Wordpad.

I know what I'm doing may sound a bit wierd but if anyone can shed some light in this area, that's be great.
