How did you get started with programming and where did you learn

I'm new to programming and I just wanted to know where did you guys get started and how long you have been programming. This is my first post to anything on this site so if I'm breaking any rules, I'm sorry.

I guess your post should probably go into the "Lounge". I got started with programming when the first TRS-80s came out. We had one at work (I worked at a Radio Shack for a few months) and I caught the programming fever!

I dabbled in programming for awhile and in 1984 I went to a community college in Oklahoma and got my Associates Degree in Computer Science in 1986. Since then I have been too busy working as a programmer to go back to school!
