Profassional Advanced c++?

my cousin told me it tooks 2 years to get a profassional c++ programmer so i read this tutorial i want to know what books or.. too read for profasssional c++??? asked about GUI somehwhere else they told me to become profassional at Console first !!!

Thinking in c++ is good
it covers some basic stuff as well but also gets quit advanced

These are the books I am using / have used. Also, in order I'd recommend reading them:

First: Programming Principles and Practice Using C++ by Bjarne Stroustrup
Second: The C++ Programming Language by Bjarne Stroustrup

Bjarne Stroustrup is the designer and original implementer of C++

Just my opinion; I'm sure there are tons of great books out there. You just gotta find one that teaches you at a pace that works for you.

woah ! 842 pages? i gonna be death before i finish this ! this is why my cousin told me it takes 2 years:DDD but wont give up reading it compeletly !!! may know some stuff and skip(beginner stuff)
