Touch Screen

I have been programming not to long, and I make my codes on Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, and I have been wondering I am working on a 2d shooter game for ios and android, I made a menu but the menu it not touch screen for the menu you haft to put in a number then press enter for it to open that menu, is there some kind of touch screen code so whenever I start the program I am just tap the menu catagory to open it??? Thanks in advanced!
