Typing something with C++? (Searched hours, please help)

Hello, I want to be able to type a message into another program (such as notepad)
using C++. How would I do that? Is there a function to do this, or an event, or something?

I was objecting to you posting here AND in the beginners forum. Now we have advice in both of them, which can be annoying to those who post the advice, because various people reply with the same advice.
