book for c++ gaming development

should i continue with the book "Beginning C++ GAMR PROGRAMMING" who's author is Michael dawson plz suggest ...............
My opinion is the following. Even if a book is bad (I am not saying that the book you mentioned is bad. I did not see and read it) in any case it is better to read it until the end instead of breaking reading somethere in the middle.
I own that book and actually just started flipping through it last night. It doesn't feel like the highest quality book out there but I was impressed with how many game mechanic examples it uses. I am planning on working through the stuff on vectors, classes and the STL this week so i'd say finish the book.
