Greetings

Hi everyone.

I am Den Mark, and i'm a newbie here. i am a PLC programmer and i realized that working with PLC is somekind of limited. i want to learn C++ and i hope this community can help me on my development. Can i ask for essential things i should study on (manuals, books). I have a small knowledge about C++ but when it comes to integration like input and output of digital signals to PC, i don't have any idea.
can someone help me understand digital I/O conditioning using C++?

your opinions and suggestions are very appreciated.

thanks :)
thanks for the link

by the way,can i use Visual C++ for machine automation?
For PLC's you'll want to consider something more specified, like PicoSoft.
but is it picosoft a smart relay of allen bradley?

i have decided to learn C++ for our automation projects because of its broad application.
fuzzy logic and data acquisition is very possible not like some of the PLCs.

can anyone help me how to build an architecture for automation applications using industrial PC and C++ software tool?

thanks!
Sorry, I misunderstood your question. You should be able to use Visual C++ for automation. To learn the basics of c++, eker676 has provided a link to a very good resource. As far as I/O interfacing, here's some reading that might be helpful. http://www.beyondlogic.org/serial/serial1.htm
It's not the most in-depth reference out there, but it's a decent place to start.
